Career History

Maureen worked for a number of years as a general insurance broker for local and international companies. During this time she honed her skills and knowledge about the industry. In 1990 she change focus and moved to set up her own consultancy to the financial services industry. In this capacity she has provided consultancy services for nearly twenty years and is well known in the financial services sector, in particular, in the insurance industry.

As Managing Director of FinServ, Maureen is fully conversant with:

• Compliance related matters such as AFS licence applications 
• Compliance reviews
• Coverholder audits including for Lloyd’s
• Course benchmarking including for ASIC register 
• Training facilitation
• Business operations guidance, in particular SME 

Maureen is an industry assessor and trainer for NIBA. She has assessed many applicants to gain financial services industry qualifications up to Advanced Diploma level.

Maureen has provided technical services including authorship to NIBA for many years and has sat on committees including, industry catastrophe liaison, life risk and investment, and regulatory and compliance. In addition she has attended meetings with ASIC on issues affecting the industry.

Current Responsibilities

Maureen is the CEO for Proed College and continues to provide consultancy services to the financial services industry.
