Traineeships

Proed College is offering Nationally Accredited Traineeships to new-entrant and existing representatives in the financial services industry. Australian companies may be eligible for $4000 in Commonwealth Traineeship incentives for each employee enrolled with Proed College.

Each state and territory has specific traineeship requirements therefore it is important to contact Maureen Ball (+612 9906 1696) to discuss eligibility criteria.

How does a Traineeship work?

Traineeships combine paid employment and nationally accredited structured training through Proed College. Commonwealth and State Governments encourage and may financially support the training of new and existing employees of Australian companies. This is to promote:

  • higher quality and accessible training at various levels within industry;
  • employers offering a structured career and educational pathway; and
  • employees to take advantage of a structured career and educational pathway

In general Proed College traineeships take between 12 and 24 months to complete.  The traineeship qualifications available are Certificate II, Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diplomas across the Financial Services sector.

Who can be a Trainee?

Proed traineeships are open to new entrant and existing employees that are Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents of all working ages. Proed College will organise for an Australian Apprenticeships Centre to assess individual eligibility criteria and funding arrangements.

New Entrant

For New-Entrant employees (employed for less than 3 months Full-Time) State Governments may cover the Proed College training fees, leaving only the Enrolment Fee to be paid by the Employer. New-Entrant workers may also be eligible for the $4000 in Commonwealth Traineeship incentives subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.

Existing Worker

An existing worker is an employee who has been with a company longer than 3 months Full-Time, or 12 months Part-Time. A fee for service agreement will be arranged with Proed College for the training. Existing workers may be eligible for the $4000 in Commonwealth Traineeship incentives subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.
